Using my journalism experience I worked with online motorsport news site The Checkered Flag to cover a number of series where writers were not abundant.

I covered a huge range of series for The Checkered Flag, including: Rally America, Star Mazda, BTCC, iRacing, Canadian Rally Championship, WRC, Dakar, Supercars (formerly V8 Supercars), National rallying, Rallycross, DTM, IRC, and Historic rallying.

This project allowed me to share my motorsport knowledge and passion to deliver a great end result.

County Times

Football coverage

I was fortunate enough to work with the Powys County Times to write about the Welsh Premier League.

It was a far cry from motorsport, but given my education in journalism I was able to apply my skills and knowledge to a different topic, and ultimately deliver work the editor was happy to publish.

My work has featured both in print and online for the County Times, who are part of the larger NWN Media Ltd.

T. Hanson Motorsports

Media Releases

Travis Hanson is a history making rally driver in the USA, and he approached me to prepare press releases for distribution to his massive following of fans and sponsors.

Having featured in the world famous X Games, Travis secured a place in history as he became the first Super Production class driver to win a Rally America event outright.

Working with Travis and his family run team allowed me to work closely with a range of media outlets in the USA, and target my writing accordingly.

I have worked closely with James on a variety of projects covering press, sponsors and marketing.

This work allowed me to delve into a huge range of International racing series as James raced and coached around the globe.

Australia, Asia, Europe and the USA are just a few of the areas we have worked in, meaning that each press release needed to be tailored to suit a variety of languages and cultures.

Ian Price has a great understanding of motorsport, combined with, high level journalist skills, hard work ethic and his very professional approach to everything he does, means I wouldn't use anyone else to handle my media after many years of working together.

Touring Car Times

Motorsport news

Having read the Touring Car Times for many years when it was at its peak, I was given the chance to join the small team behind the site.

I covered a lot of series, but mainly focused on the DTM which gave me the chance to interview and liaise with teams and drivers in German.

I also broke a number of major stories for the site, including the identity of the new NGTC engine supplier to the BTCC.

James came to me to put together a series of presentations to take to potential sponsors, showcasing his ability, results and personality.

There was a big need for a fast turnaround, and we worked closely for a few days to deliver a great end product which James was happy to take to potential sponsors all over the world.

Bamboo Engineering

Race reports

Having moved from the BTCC to the world stage, Bamboo Engineering were winning fans around the globe with their fighting approach to racing with the established teams.

I was tasked with writing race reports for the team’s website and sponsors

It was a great project which gave me the chance to work with team owner Richard Coleman, and with a number of drivers including Harry Vaulkhard, Yukinori Taniguchi and Darryl O’Young.

Ian has done a 'second-to-none' job at presenting bamboo engineering press releases in an immediate fashion, our releases mean a lot to our corporate sponsors and identity, and all have been thoroughly well researched

Ian has been priceless in writing our releases, and has been thoroughly professional in all my personal dealings with him. I'd recommend him to any future drivers or teams

I joined the WorldRallySport team to provide content for several series around the world.

This was primarily journalism based, where I covered breaking news and features for the site.
